Feel free to take a nap is a performance-installation based on dialogical practices between dance, language and text by Petros Konnaris and Mirko Guido, in collaboration with Rodia Vombolou and Evagoras Vanezis.
The project is based on the dialogical relationship between movement and words. For three hours the performers will be at SESSIONS X SPEL where they will activate their bodies with a choreographic score that includes actions of embodiment, observation, writing, interaction and conversation. The performers engage in an ongoing dialogue, a continuous figuring out between movement, comments, and reflections arising from their tactile-kinesthetic experiences and memories. They embrace the precariousness of what they construct, entrusting the process of uncertainty. The personal becomes available to each other and then to a public gaze building a space of tenderness and consent. In this softening of the boundaries, the sense of intimacy becomes shared in making together an impermanent room.
The environment is curated as an invitation to stay, observe, interact and get lost with the material produced in the room. The space begins as an empty document waiting to be filled with thoughts and memories of everyone involved from this ongoing practice. Visitors are invited to observe and contribute to this intimate and collective event/action by recording the changes that occur in space. The five collaborators/performers will activate the environment, score, and performances, everyone from their own perspective, whether it is related to movement, performance, dramaturgy, or space curation by shifting identities and roles among themselves. In this way, a living structure is created that evolves and adapts in each moment.
The project was initiated in 2012 in the frame of the European program Micro and Macro Dramaturgies in Dance collaboration of Anghiari Dance Hub (Italy), Bora Bora (Denmark), Dance House Lemesos (Cyprus), DansBrabant (The Netherlands), leaded by Tanec Praha (Czechia).
